HR trends 2017 : the Deloitte study deciphered by Skillspotting 1/3

Deloitte, one of the global leaders in audit and consulting, has recently published its fifth edition of the annual Human Resources trends report titled "Rewriting the Rules for the Digital Age". This study provides a comprehensive overview of current and future developments in human capital management, based on feedback from over 10,000 HR leaders and business executives worldwide, including nearly 300 in France.

In a world where the gap between technological advancements and business adaptation continues to widen, it has become crucial for leaders and HR professionals to reinvent talent management and build ecosystems that are fit for the future. Deloitte highlights several key recommendations to support this transition, focusing on three main areas:

  1. The Organization of the Future: Increasing Agility Companies need to evolve towards more agile structures, replacing rigid hierarchies with networks and project-based teams. This requires a rethinking of leadership profiles and management styles, as well as simplifying processes with tools that offer a clear view of employees' technical and behavioral skills.
  2. Career Development and Training: Meeting the Needs of Tomorrow Creating a culture of development is essential. Companies must focus on strengthening and acquiring new skills, particularly transversal and behavioral skills, through innovative development programs. This allows companies to address future needs while ensuring talent mobility.
  3. Talent Acquisition Strategy: Putting People at the Center In an increasingly digital world, businesses need to rethink their talent acquisition processes. The goal is to better leverage technology and data to optimize talent mobility and refine recruitment processes. Validating candidates' skills is now more important than relying solely on references.

In this context, HR departments must enable managers to play a central role in driving the company's performance. The use of advanced technologies and support from experts is critical to successfully navigating this transformation and approaching the fourth industrial revolution with confidence.
