Innovation: the ability to respond rapidly to new needs

Faced with the urgency generated by telecommuting, social distancing and the shutdown of activities, various initiatives have enabled some organizations to maintain their operations and preserve internal cohesion. Platforms, applications and processes were created in record time to meet new needs.

For example, the IT department of the State of Vaud developed an application enabling negative Covid test results to be sent by SMS.

A watch brand set up an online reservation system to organize meals for employees on site.

CHUV managed the organization of day-care centers and parking lots under unprecedented constraints, while the State of Geneva launched a collaborative platform enabling employees to lend a hand to other departments lacking the resources to deal with Covid-related issues.

These projects show how companies have been able to adapt quickly to the new demands imposed by the health crisis.
